{miss "c" ~ 6 months old}

This morning I met up with this sweet family for a 6 month session of miss "c". She was adorable! I can't say enough about this little bundle! She is sitting up so well, was full of smiles, has the cutest cheeks, best smile and laugh, and the most beautiful blue yes. Okay, sorry for going on and on - I will stop and let you check out her session! Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys this morning, even thought it was so hot and humid!

This was a first for me! I had so much fun meeting these sweet little boys and their Mommy yesterday. They were 7 weeks premature and had just pasted the 7 week mark! Definitely on the older side for newborn sessions, but they were so good for me - especially if they were swaddled. Once there were arms and 6 legs, things got a little crazy - in a great way! These boys are just adorable. mr. "j" & mr. "e" are identical and mr. "a" is the "big" brothers - outweighing them. OK, enough gushing on these cuties ~ enjoy your sneak peek!

{newborn session ~ miss "k"}

This weekend I was able to meet this sweet baby girl, miss "k." She is the daughter of Michelle & Matt who I was able to do a maternity session for earlier this summer. Miss "k" was so sweet, although she never wanted to go to sleep for me. But, she was very content and calm while wide awake. Enjoy your sneak peek!

{miss "a" - 4 months}

While in Texas, I was able to see my sweet, peanut of a niece, miss "a" (and her parents - which are my brother & sister-in-law). But look at miss "a"! She is so tiny and sweet and mild-mannered. She has her mama's big blue eyes and the shape is identical as well. We were able to get in a short session of miss "a" before the heat got to us all, and exhaustion set in - in the babies (mine included). Here is your sneak peek - and I had to throw one in of the cousins! So sweet!

I had the pleasure of heading over to the home of my dear friends for one final shoot in Texas. It was for mr. "rtg"s 2/3 month photos, family photos, and of course I had to get some of miss "c." We had a great time, although it was so hot outside. High 90's at 7pm - possibly even still in the 100's from earlier in the day. Miss "c" was being very sassy and silly, but I loved it because I captured a side of her that I just love. I tried narrowing down your sneak peek but there were just too many I loved, especially of the family shots!, Enjoy!

This week while in Texas, I was able to have a 1 year old session with some college friends' son. Mr. "j" is adorable! He is the perfect mix of his Daddy & Mommy. I was so blessed and excited to take pictures of this amazingly gorgeous woman....because she is my grandmother, Granny! Isn't she beautiful? Would you believe it if I told you she is 92, and will be 93 in October? Well, she is! Aren't I lucky to have her genes? Anyways, she asked if I would take these for her Christmas cards. I just had to share them with all of you!

I also took my daughter out for a photo session and Granny joined us as well. I am in LOVE with the pictures below that I was able to capture of the two of them. I will treasure these forever.

Early Saturday morning I headed to Del Ray to do this maternity session. Morning light is just gorgeous, and Saturday was no different, especially outside of Sarah's adorable home with a gorgeous wrap around porch. Don't you just love her dress? Continuing my marathon of sessions while back in DC, I headed to MD to see miss "s" for her newborn session. I loved doing this session because these are dear friends of mine from college, who also live in the DC area. Miss "s" was such a trooper while we moved her around for a couple of hours. At the end of our session, we headed outside to do some family pictures, and look at the surprise in their backyard ~ this gorgeous greenery and fence! Such a gem. But what was even a greater thing to see, was the love these two have for their new baby girl. It definitely shows in these pictures! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I got to spend this morning with this sweet baby girl, miss "ap." She is precious and looks so much like her brother, mr. "p." This week I had several newborn sessions, and I was able to get started with this sweet little boy, mr. "r." Isn't he adorable? Look at those lips! They are gorgeous. We had a great time with this little man and his big brother, "q." We took pictures all around the house and ventured outside in the heat to capture some precious ones. Of course we had to get mr. "q" in on the action, so we captured some of him right before he turns 2! Enjoy your sneak peek!

This afternoon I met up with Paula, after a major afternoon thunderstorm, and right before another one. We lucked out to miss the downpour that happened right after we were finished. Anyways, back to Paula. Look at her! Isn't she gorgeous? She is due in September and look at her fabulous figure. Isn't she just the most beautiful pregnant person? She was a great sport to head into NW, to an "old factory." I had wanted to shoot at this location, and she was perfect for it. Enjoy your sneak peek!

UPDATES ~ OK I had to add more! I am such loving this session!!

I am in love with this little girl. Maybe I am biased, but she is the daughter of one of my best friends. Isn't she precious?! She is so tiny and petite - and is just over 1 year old. We had a great time exploring downtown Bryan and found this great field. She was such a trooper! Thanks for letting me capture miss "c"s adorable personality! Enjoy!

Saturday I was able to take a little trip over to Austin and photograph this cutie. This is Mr. "B"! Isn't he adorable? His parents are good friends of ours from DC, but they have started the trend of moving back to Texas and are trying to get us to do the same. Ok, back to Mr. "B" ~ he was so sweet and just a little over 3 weeks old. He loved being swaddled, but let's just say ~ he did not enjoy being naked. But that's OK! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Sunday, before I headed to Texas, I was able to meet up with Michelle and her husband in Old Town. Michelle won a giveaway I donated to a new DC blog, Expecting Inside The Beltway. This is a great resource blog for mom-to-be's in the DC area (or any area for that matter) but if you are in the DC/NOVA area you can find great discounts and resources on the site.

Beth and her husband met me in Georgetown early Sunday morning. It was gorgeous! The lighting was wonderful and the streets were bare. I met up with sweet mr. "l" and his parents on Saturday to do a little 6 month session. You may remember him from his 3 month old Cherry Blossom session. Saturday I headed out to have a twin newborn session of two adorable little girls, miss "c" and miss "g." After a little mishap, where my camera fell out of my car and broke, they were so sweet to let me come back Sunday and shoot the session. But it was worth it! Look at these sweet, sweet sisters. I had a great time with these adorable siblings. Big brother "j" was a great sport at taking pictures and such a ham. Baby sister, miss "m" was precious and did not want her picture taken. I met miss "a" and her mom yesterday in Old Town between rain-showers. Luckily we went ahead with the session because after the two big rains, it cleared up and was bright and sunny...and humid. But this did not stop miss "a" from showing me so much of her personality during our session! She was a riot and I had a great time walking around with her and her mom. This was a surprise session for miss "a"'s Dad for Father's Day - how fun! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Saturday I had the privilege of taking pictures of miss "s" at her bat mitzvah luncheon. I forgot how much fun 13 year olds are and I had a wonderful time capturing miss "s" on her special day. Look at this young lady - she is GORGEOUS! And so is her entire family, who I am very lucky & excited to be photographing later this summer/fall. Look at the smile on miss "s"'s face - she was like this all day and it was definitely an infectious smile! Thank you for letting be part of your day!

Do you remember this beautiful mom-to-be to twins? Here are her beautiful babies ~ mr. "d" & miss "s." These little ones are nearly 4 weeks old, but are still so tiny. Miss "s" is not even 6 lbs yet! Neither one of them wanted to go to sleep for us, so we took several awake shots, but finally wore them out to get a couple of shots of them together...and asleep! They are the cutest and tiniest little ones, and I had such a great time with them this afternoon!

A good friend of mine in the DC Metro Area has started a blog for women who are "expecting inside the beltway." It is a blog with helpful links and hits to maneuvering the DC area while being pregnant. It is full of great resources from maternity & baby stores to obgyn recommendations and, of course - maternity & newborn photographer recommendations!

Cara asked if I would be interested in donating a session for her pregnant followers! So I did!

Yesterday I was able to meet up with sweet miss "a" and her parents for her 1 year pictures. They had bid on the session at a Junior League event, and I was so excited to be able to take their pictures...especially since they are our dear friends! Yesterday I had the pleasure of heading to Pennsylvania to photograph this precious newborn, miss "h", and her parents. They happen to be friends from Texas A&M and it was so much fun catching up with them, and meeting miss "h"! She was such a doll - trying desperately to stay awake for the exciting session - and I got some great shots of her awake. But, I out-lasted her, like I told her I would - and was able to get a couple sweet sleeping shots. Thank you for letting me take your pictures!

I had the pleasure of taking this gorgeous mom-to-be's picture this weekend. And do you see how beautiful she looks - all belly - and glowing? Well, you would never guess, she is actually 34 weeks pregnant...with TWINS!! She looks wonderful and I had so much fun hanging out for the afternoon with Trisha and George. I can't wait to meet the babies!

We have been trying to schedule Mr. "H"'s 1 year pictures for a couple of months now, but the weather was never great. So, we scheduled it for this past Saturday, which was supposed to be gorgeous, like the entire week had been. Oh...but the windy was blowing like crazy and it was freezing cold! Poor Mr. "H" was so cold, but he hung in with me for half an hour like a trooper. Check out this cutie!

Look at this sweet little girl! Miss "M" and her mom came out yesterday morning, early, to take a couple of spring pictures. Remember my maternity session with Daniele? I had the privilege of heading over to her house and taking her baby's newborn pictures! Mr. "J" is as adorable and sweet as they come. He was only 7 days old when we did our session - which was perfect timing - except he wouldn't fall asleep for us! But, I was still able to get some great shots of him.

Mr. "D" and his mom were such troopers heading out to the Senate Park at 8am on Saturday. It was great to catch up with them, and Mr. "D" was so sweet. He has the most serious and pensive looks - that are just so precious. I was able to catch a couple of small smiles though!

I have always heard boys are very different from girls, but yesterday, I definitely saw how true it is. I had 3 sessions with 4 boys ranging between 18 months & 4 years old and they had me running everywhere! This session was with the sweet "W" family, who happen to be good friends of mine. I loved running around with Mr. "H" and capturing his infectious personality. His sister, Miss "E" was such a sweet girl smiling and showing off her baby blues. Surprise Dad! This little boy's mom surprised her husband with this photo session of Mr. "L" - who just turned 3 months old. Isn't he adorable? He was so good during the session and took it all in strides. It turned out to be a gorgeous evening and we were able to get so great shots that captured his pretty blues.

I met with with Miss K and her mom this morning at a very busy Tidal Basin for some cherry blossom shots. She was the 2nd of 12, possibly 13 mini sessions I have booked over the next 3 days! She was such a great sport, telling me all about the airplanes and dogs!

We were lucky enough to get to visit them only 5 days after she was born! She was a doll for the entire day as we took pictures off and on. Can't wait to see you again Miss A!

I had so much fun with this family of 3...soon to be 4! It was pretty cold and early in the morning when I made my way up to their house, but they were troopers! Up for anything. Little Miss India was as precious as ever....definitely giving me a run for my money at taking her picture! Mom is due to have Baby Boy in less than 5 weeks! Don't we all wish we looked as good as her 5 weeks out?!
